Holly, 36, said that she was “quite cross” with the judges, explaining that she thought their comments were “a bit mean”.
Ruth, 57, admitted that she knew her Foxtrot to the tune of Bobby Darin’s Mack the Knife was not her best dance, adding: “I knew we were going home.
“I meddled up in the dance off,” she revealed, which appeared to have passed her professional partner by.
Looking shocked, Anton swiped: “Did you? No wonder we went home!”
It was all taken with a good nature however, as the pair giggled while reminiscing the good times.
What’s more, Anton, 51, made up for the jibe by gushing about his partner who he described as “the best”.
“She’s a fan which brings enthusiasm and she has the most wonderful sense of humour and she’s just the loveliest person you would expect to meet,” the dancer explained.
Ruth herself was full of fond memories from her time on the show, telling her colleagues: “It’s everything I thought it would be and everything I dreamt it would be – with bells on.
“So editing and so challenging, all made more wonderful by [Anton].”
