Star Wars fans continue to speculate on Supreme Leader Snoke’s true identity, but what if a big twist to be revealed in The Last Jedi is that there’s a Supreme-er Leader?
Theorist Mike Zeroh believes the evidence points to a Dark Side authority above Snoke called Ren.
Speaking in his new YouTube video, the Star Wars expert said: “We do know that [director Rian Johnson] isn’t going too far into his backstory, if at all.
“JJ Abrams will be handling the majority of that in Star Wars Episode IX.”
He continued: “The whole Dark side part of things in the sequel trilogy seems to really be shrouded in mystery.
“So when I’m looking at the Knights of Ren, who is Ren? I think that’s one of the biggest questions of all…Kylo Ren is Ren isn’t he?
“Well yes and no at the same exact time. Kylo Ren is actually part of a group called the Knights of Ren.
“[JJ Abrams previously said], ‘He is a character who came to the name Kylo Ren, when he joined a group called the Knights of Ren.’
“[While Adam Driver once said], ‘It was a group that existed before him, before Kylo Ren, that he was apart of. Their place within everything may be more of a satellite group than I would say. This is really tricky.’”
Zeroh added: “What if this Ren is an actual character who once existed in the Unknown Regions perhaps? What if Ren was actually Snoke’s master?
“Wouldn’t Snoke of had a master like Emperor Palpatine or Darth Vader? Kylo Ren’s master is Snoke, who is Snoke’s master? That’s the biggest question of all.”
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
