The fiery feast is the hottest curry ever sold in a UK supermarket.
The red-hot ready meal is made using the Naga chilli which is 200 times hotter than a jalapeño pepper or Tabasco sauce.
The Naga has a ferocious rating of up to one million on the Scoville scale which measures the heat of peppers.
Some varieties of Naga chillies are hotter than weapons-grade pepper spray used to stop riots and others have been used to develop tear gas grenades.
The Volcanic Vindaloo, priced at £1.50, is aimed at extreme curry lovers who find the spice levels is existing ready meals too tame.
It is so powerful the meal’s packaging carries a warning along with a six chilli rating – the first ever used on a Morrisons product. The hottest previous chilli rating was three.
The supermarket has also strongly recommended that only people over the age of 16 attempt to eat the Vindaloo, which is launched to coincide with National Curry Week.
Morrisons ready meals expert Sean Gill said: “Curry fans have been telling us that they just don’t get the fiery heat they want from ordinary ready meal curries.
“We decided to take up their challenge and create the hottest ready meal in the country – something with the extreme heat you get when you order a Vindaloo in your favourite restaurant.
“We’re looking forward to hearing what they think.”
