I’m A Celebrity 2017 line-up dealt huge blow just days before launch – and here's why

As the celebrities gear up to fly to Down Under for a gruelling three-week stint, they may want to think again as the camp has been hit with an extreme weather warning.

According to meteorologists, New South Wales will endure inhospitable conditions over the course of next week, with high winds and dangerous UV levels.

The weekend, Friday 10 to 12 November, will see the worst of it, which will likely spark mass panic among ITV bosses who are gearing up for the I’m A Celebrity return next week.

What’s more, the latest jungle mates will be arriving in Australia when winds are expected to reach up to 20KM per hour.

Express.co.uk have contacted an ITV spokesperson for comment.

In the meantime, rumours surrounding this year’s line-up are rife with Gemma Collins being widely tipped to return for a second stint.

The 36-year-old famously pulled out of the programme in 2014 after self-diagnosing herself with malaria.

It’s believed she’ll be joined by the likes of Charlotte Crosby, Coronation Street star Jenny McAlpine and Ed Balls.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV on Sunday, November 19.
