Friday The 13th: The Game’s release date is here, as the asymmetric multiplayer title gets a physical release on PS4 and Xbox One.
And to celebrate the launch of Friday The 13th: The Game, Argos has cut the price of the PS4 and Xbox One editions.
Representing a saving of 20%, fans can pick up Friday The 13th: The Game for the cheap price of £23.99.
That’s compared to £29.99 on GAME, £26 at Tesco and £26.86 at ShopTo.
It’s even more expensive if you buy the game digitally, where it costs £30.99 on PSN or £31.99 on Xbox Live.
The game launches alongside a huge new update, which adds a new map, a new version of Jason and more.
You can check out the new content in the gallery below…
The new map is based on the Jarvis household and is taken from the fourth movie.
Likewise, the new Jason character model is also based on the fourth film.
His strengths include the ability to run and greater weapon strength, while his weapon of choice is a pig splitter.
According to the patch notes, players will encounter rain on all maps, the Thick Skinned perk reduces all damage, and counsellors can now push each other out of the way.
There’s even a new counsellor named Mitch Floyd, who’s unlockable at level 24.
Players will have a better chance of unlocking the counsellor by taking part in the double XP weekend, which lasts until Monday afternoon.
Friday The 13th: The Game features 1-vs-7 multiplayer action, which pits Jason Voorhees against camp counsellors.
“With maps spanning multiple iconic locations from the movie franchise; play online as either Jason Voorhees or a Camp Counsellor trying to survive the night,” the official description reads.
“Play as various incarnations of Jason Voorhees as depicted in the films.
“Each Jason has been hand-crafted with specific Strengths, Weaknesses, and exclusive brutal kills!
“Fans of the movies will be able to unlock and play as Jason’s from parts 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9!”
