WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR
A month ago the first trailer for Avengers Infinity War dropped in all its Marvel glory, with its climax teasing Thor meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord, has previously teased that the Guardians will have a small role in the new movie, so what exactly will they be doing with the Asgardian King?
Now a leak discovered by The Brick Show, from multiple sources, has unveiled LEGO set descriptions for Avengers Infinity War and one seems to confirm their mission for Thor’s new weapon involving an Infinity Stone. See below.
The Search for Thor’s Weapon (76102)
Set price: €24.99
Minifigures include: Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Thor, Unknown Infinity Stone
Join the Avengers, who are trying to find the ax-thunderbolt for Thor. Sit down in the cab of the rescue capsule with Rocket, Thor and Groot and go into space.
On the way to Nidavellir you will meet many enemies, you can be protected from them by shooting from the thorns. Land on the red planet to charge T[h]or’s power plants in the space forge.
Find the stone of infinity, untwist the energy ray and create an amazing ax-thunderer!
If this leak reflects the plot of Avengers Infinity War, it would appear that the Guardians will help Thor forge a new weapon after his hammer Mjolnir.
Nidavellir is where the dwarves forged the most powerful weapons in the Nine Realms, so its presumably where Thor will pick up his “ax-thunderer”.
But what Infinity Stone is this description talking about? Well a few months ago footage of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Collector’s Museum on Knowwhere revealed Thanos trying to find the location of the Reality Stone. Perhaps its here on Nidavellir and will be used to forge Thor’s new weapon?
Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018.
