Avengers Infinity War horror: THIS villain ALREADY has the Soul Stone? It’s looking bad

At first it seems hard to comprehend how anything could stand against the combined might of all the earth’s heroes and assorted galactic allies.

Marvel has been steadily lightening the tone with all its recent moves but things are about to get very dark.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have promised some of fanss’ most beloved heroes could even pay the ultimate price as they fight to stop Thanos collecting even one of teh Infinity Stones, let alone teh enntire Gauntley.

But what if it’s already too late for that?

It’s easy to forget that Thanos already had at least one of the Stones until fairly recently when he gave it away in a rather puzzling (or utterly illogical) way.

While the Mad Titan was still trying to manipulate things from behind the scenes, he gave Loki the Mind Stone. That gem is now embedded in Vision’s forehead.

The only gem currently unaccounted for is the Soul Stone, perhaps the most powerful one of all.

Many fans had thought it might be hidden behind Odin’s eye patch. Thor Ragnarok has debunked that theory which leaves a far more terrifying possibility about the Soul Stone.

CinemaBlend says: “We suspect that it’s already in Thanos’ hands. If this is the case, then how long has he had it?”

If Thanos has had the gem for a while it certainly makes his lending of The Mind Stone to the notoriously unreliable Loki seem less of a desperate gamble since he would still retain a gem that is potentilly even more powerful.

The second option is that Thanos has been busy in the two years since he was seen pulling the Infinity Gauntlet out of a mysterious vault at the end of Age of Ultron.

In the source comicbooks, the Soul Stone gives the power to to steal, drain and manipulate both living and dead souls. It basically holds power over all life in the universe.

Possession of this Stone would make Thanos a truly terrifying villain from the very beginning of Infinity War. It would also explain how he is expected to have all our combined heroes reeling and defeated (or dead) and facing a desperate cliffhanger leading into Avengers 4.
